CONCLUSION Translation is an increasingly practical and useful activity in the increasingly globalized world in which we live, it is also a learning strategy frequently used by students. Translation facilitates the acquisition of new vocabulary and fosters a deeper understanding of the meaning, structure and use of the language, both of the mother tongue and of what is being learned, and sensitizes the student to the semantic, syntactic, stylistic and cultural differences that exist between the two languages, it is not only the substitution of word for word, but it leads the student to develop valuable intercultural skills, since it forces him to look for enough contextual information, to find, as Duff (1989) said, the appropriate words to transmit what is meant .
