TASK 4. FEEDBACK

Good morning dear Diana
Commenting his essay a bit, I think it's very good since I think that translation seems to be a strategy of frequent use and a preferred language practice technique for many students in the configuration of EFL. As such, it undoubtedly takes place in the classroom language. regards Happy day

Dear  María :
Translation helps develop certain skills that are fundamental in language learning, such as analyzing and commenting on texts, that is, oral and written comprehension, variety of styles in written and oral expression, creativity in expression, etc.
In this sense, the translation is effective to extend the communicative competence of the student in the L2, because it puts him in front of texts of different authors and unknown concepts. In this way he broadens his lexicon and the less used resources in his mother tongue, which has a fundamental value in the teaching of an L2, due to the fact that it demands the student precision, adequate use of grammar, knowledge of phraseology and style.
 Regards,
 Diana  Barrios

Dear Yeimy,
Undoubtedly, translation is a very useful practice and very used lately in classrooms, however, I thought it would be interesting to study and investigate the reasons why it has been demerited by certain authors. In my opinion, the translation makes very significant contributions to the teaching and learning process of a language, since its practice invites us to investigate the culture and different contexts, to learn a considerable amount of new vocabulary and a deeper understanding of the meaning, structure and use of language.

hello
Best Regard
good work partner Diana, according to you when the activities should create a context that promotes learning, also keep in mind that the translation can become a form of mutual support for students that allows them to fully understand the functions of the language to be able to communicate accurately with the world.

Hello everyone
Mate Maria, good work I agree with your reflection according to the postulate, it is not too important to mention what Leonardi (2010) said, that exposure to literary texts not only helps students to increase their linguistic competence, but also helps define and redefine their own cultural values by exploring and interpreting the assumptions and beliefs of the target culture.

hello Diana Carina
your essay seems understandable to me, it is called a lot when you talk about the importance of translation in the teaching of the English language, although the translation has separated it from the four basic skills of language this will never stop being important in a learning of L2. It can be used for different activities and I can achieve a better command of the language internally in the students.
  María  Gregoria

hi YeimiI think your essay is very good because you enunciate in what you want to achieve by using the translation that is to overcome the linguistic and cultural barriers that arise from the differences between languages and cultures to make communication possible, translation is very important as well as the interpretation.
